On a recent trip to Amarillo, Texas, I made a quick trip out to take some pictures at Palo Duro Canyon State Park. I really had a great time taking pictures at the park and came out with a few good images despite limited time.
Palo Duro is a large and very well maintained park. I could spend days photographing down in the canyons. The mixture of deep blue sky and bright red rock formations is great for color photography. The interesting shapes made for a few good black & white conversions as well.
The park is located east of Canyon, Texas on highway 217.
